Specification

Dimensions below. See size guide page for quick fit chart or correct instructions and selection for unlisted excavators

Style 1 - Refers to machines where the the body (engine and counterweight) is flush and in-line with the ROPS canopy. In style 1 sizes, the length of the cover from top to bottom is longer at the rear/ right hand side.

Style 2 - Refers to machines where the body (engine and counterweight) is larger than the ROPS canopy. In style 2 sizes, the length of the cover from top to bottom is shorter around the rear/ right hand side to allow for this.

Size - refers to the dimensions of the ROPS canopy itself (not the weight of the machine.
We gauge this by a wrap around measurement as explained in our video on the size guide page.

Max dimensions around the canopy:
Extra small = <3760mm or 12' 4"
Small = 3760 - 4180mm or 12'4" - 13'8 1/2"
Medium = 4180 - 4480mm or 13'8 1/2" - 14'8 3/8"

Excavator MODEL NOT LISTED?

Follow the guide to find the best fit for your machine

Style 1

The canopy and body are inline. The cover material on style 1 can hang down without interference

Style 2

Usually larger machines where the engine and/ or counterweight are bigger than the canopy (not in line). The cover material on style 2 is shorter to allow for this

Carefully find the largest measurement required around the machine canopy accounting for any protruding components (mirrors or grab handles) and select the next size up. See examples tab for reference.

A: 900mm or 35 1/2"

B: 980mm or 38 1/2"

All 4 sides combined gives a total allowance around the canopy of up to 3760mm or 148"

A: 990mm or 39"

B: 1100mm or 43 1/4"

All 4 sides combined gives a total allowance around the canopy of up to 4180mm or 164 1/2"

A: 990mm or 39"

B: 1250mm or 49 1/4"

All 4 sides combined gives a total allowance around the canopy of up to 4480mm or 176 1/4".

Example 1

As shown, the Wacker Neuson EZ17 is a style 1 because the canopy and body are inline and the cover material can hang all the way down.

When wrapping a tape around this machine, including the front grab handle and following the approximate shape of the roof, we find the measurement to be less than 3760mm (XS allows UP TO 3760mm).

By following the instructions, we can confirm this machine suits a style 1 — extra small.

Example 2

As shown, the Wacker Neuson EZ26 is a style 2 because it is a larger machine where the engine and counterweight is larger than the canopy/ not in line.

When wrapping a tape around this machine including the front grab handle, we find the measurement to be more than 4180mm (S) but less than 4480mm (M).

By following the instructions, we can confirm this machine suits a style 2 — medium.
